It's a good morning to be up. The first proper winters day of the year!
Yes it's cold, but it's crisp and clear. The new dawn sky is breaking blue and orange, and red. The fields are sprinkled with white, frosty highlights. The trees the same, the last visible cobwebs highlighted in the rising sun. Mist hanging a few inches over the waters of the Fish Ponds as I drive past.
I know it's cold, but it is beautiful.
And soon, when the sun has fully risen into the day, it will be gone.
