So, the ghosts of the old year meet, ready to greet the spirits of a new year. The hands on the clock turn their last few turns to finish out 2011 . Pray welcome to 2012, with the joy of those we love, and the fond memories of those we have sadly lost. Love for A Happy New Year to Cathy Liam and Laura. Best wishes for a safe and prosperous 2012 to all my family, friends and colleagues from a poorly, pathetic human. Gold Bless

Should learn never to change channel with 10minutes to go. Have just turned over to ITV for the news, just to catch the last few minutes of the Railway Children. Just on the bit where Roberta realises, through the haze and stream across the platform , that her recently released ( unknown to them) father is stood there. Then there is the run up the platform to "daddy, my daddy". Always chokes me up - what a numpty!!
Puppy's Evolution Part One
Tuesday, December 27, 2011
Have just worked out why the Puppy was scratching at the settee. Underneath were a number of a sorted size balls to play with, and Dougal was just trying to get at them to play. However, the smart little sod has also worked out (and I have seen him do it) he rolls his favourite ball back under the settee so he HAS TOO go after it. A win win for Dougal. 1: He gets to try and eat the Settee and 2: The stupid Humans will get down on the floor and try and get his ball back (and they also stay and play)

What a Bad Nights Sleep
As is, seemingly traditional, at this time of year, we all once again seem to be ill with a Christmas cold of varying ferocity. I, once again have "concrete nose syndrome ", a condition that, after all this time, has become somewhat wearing. Sleep is always difficult with a blocked nose for anyone one.
But, in the wee hours of the night I was sure that I could hear someone crying in pain, but, when I checked the girls were a sleep and Liam still down stairs irrating the puppy. So, in a sleep haze I went back to sleep. Next thing is that I am vaguely aware of a wet nose nuzzling my ankle and the half sleepy acknowledgement that I can hear CATHY telling Liam about letting the puppy up stairs ( if he can, the puppy likes sleeping in Liam's room "apparently" ) . So, as I am now wide awake in the early-ish hours I will be napping through the day

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to Christmas Morning. A bit to late in the day to catch the full Sun Rise, but early enough to see the end. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. No pressure, No hurry lovely. Can't help smiling, looking at my pile of pressies, how well people know me. A Rugby Padded Jacket! A really nice grey/green shirt. Books, DVD's (couldn't work out why anyone would know I like the Dogfights program, and why I would be interested in the full series of the original Spider man Cartoon - a really broad smile should cover it). Even Mother scored 10 out of 10. F1 book and a memorial tome ready for the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic sinking. There is one thing though - why would I need a book about "An old Gits" life?? And, of course we have Puppy dog. Great day so far. And more to come
Watching Top of the Pops
What would Christmas be without Top of the Pops on BBC2. Have been treated to Abba & Bowie. It goes without saying that there had to be at least one outing for Wizard. Sadly there was Wings, and Benny Hill (not ;0)) with Ernie, the fastest Milkman in the West - even Shaking Stevens and his Winter Sweater. Love Top of the Pops at this time of year

Still buzzing ....
I know it wasn't the real Frank, Dean and Sammy ( coz if it was, I would running off down the road - GHOSTS!) , but the actors that played, played them straight down the line, even to the smoking and drinking that they used to do for real at the Sands Hotel.
Am still singing ( in my head luckily for everyone else) Trailers for sale or rent, rooms to let 50 cent. They did all the famous Rat Pack songs. Mr Bojangles, New York, New York. Chicago " My type of town"
And then, as it was Christmas, the swing version of various Christmas classics
Fabulous night, great atmosphere and, what turned out to be a not to bad theatre - was a wee bit worried what they had turned a building of my childhood - The Baths Hall - into. And, I have to say, on first impressions least ways , it's not too bad.

Puppy Training
Sunday, December 18, 2011
The Archery this morning went well, dispite having " concrete nose" syndrome . I scored more, today on a 60 cm face for a FITA, than I did on a full size face last time in the BareBow category. - well chuffed. Laura didn't do as well as she wanted, but the there is always the next competition. Just spent the remains of the afternoon hoovering up the front room, and making it half way through the Bow maintainance. Soon be baby sitting time while the rt of the family go out to the panto. Coffee and TV - lovely !! http://amplify.com/u/a1kuac

Am, once again, cursing my body clock. Whilst aquiring the necessary, and obligatory pre Christmas Cold, and thinking that today would be the ideal lie in solution, I am, of course awake early (not even normal "wake up for work" time).
Smile on my face from the happy, bouncy hello from the Puppy - again. And, once again, the snag of you feed a pup, other things then come into play. As I type off the laptop (am once again having a tinker with Ubuntu) and the old nasal receptors are flashing "hells teeth, can you smell THAT!!!" messages to the brain. Puppies poo'ed! http://amplify.com/u/a1krrk

Good Morning
Well, I say good morning, but I woke up at 5, feeling pretty rough. It's cold, it's dark and there really is nothing worth watching at this time in the morning ?
At least the Breakfast News is now on and they are filling the world with happiness and joy - NOT!. At least we are half way through the week and on the downhill slope towards the weekend. I'm never have really liked the build up to Christmas, I don't know why. But at least I get to shoot some arrows on Saturday and Sunday ( although I forgot the evening for the indoor shoot has been moved this week and I missed it - nuts!!)
Have a good, safe day everyone - take care as it looks slippy.
