The Dougal Containment

Well that's phase 1 of the Dougal Containment System complete (to wit the main posts and crossbars of a fence) seeing as the little sod has wormed his way through the base of the death hedge. Tomorrow - slats and a coat of fence stain (hopefully)

My eyes are burning, am tired ... Too tired. Tried to go back to sleep and failed so am sat in the kitchen doing Archery/AirGun maintainance. Need another Coffee !!

Suffering from tired shell shock. To be woken up by explosive coughing and the sound of retching. And then taking several sleep wriddled moments to realise its not you!!

I really give up now, have had enough. We have people in hospital. Tilly's had tonsillitis for most of the week, and, of course, I once again wake up with "concrete nose syndrome " Not only that, but then I go back to sleep for another THREE hours. I know there are a lot of people with coughs, cold and viral infections at the moment , but as I have said, I have had enough of this.

• Am pointlessly searching the internet for nothing in particular
• Aimlessly looking at my camera thinking “charge the battery idiot”
• Meandering around sorting the pile of information I have about Archery and Airguns
• IPadding (even when the computer is on)
• Looking out the window at the rain, staring
• Moaning to myself about tripping over Puppies Bone pile,, but doing nothing about it

I know the weather is bad, but really. Was sat at the computer when I hear, firstly a strange "cackle" from the kitchen, followed by the rushing foot steps of a rather large puppy on the Hallway floor. I get there to see a Jackdaw, in the kitchen doorway looking in. Dougie soon saw to the Jackdaw leaving, but I have never seen that type of bird, nearly in the kitchen. Was it trying to get out the rain??
