My Work Life - sort of ....

Having post the previous twitter post, it has just occurred to me that things are not really all's well in the BT garden. I won't bore with the details, but to cut things short, they want to alter all the shifts and like we had previously been used too.

The big upset (for BT least ways) is that, today, the Union Conference had rejected all the proposals

Even though the Union Executive seemingly had signed up to the whole thing.

Its been given to us a one of those "if you don't agree to this, the whole company's doomed" sort of scenario. The other thing I heard today (rumor I guess) that there maybe a company willing to buy Openreach, again, sort of with the threat of " if you don't ..."

I don't see much choice from my point of view

Am Seriously annoyed - D-day Commerations

Have just been watching the local BBC news (http://www.bbc.co.uk/humber).

I'm seriously annoyed. The local Normandy veterans Association had been denied support by the Government, to allow the local hero's a chance of going back to the beaches, possibly for the last time, that had cost them so much.

Going to show how fabulous the people of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire really are, the money came in, and the soldiers of D_Day could go back to France.

I conjunction with the Look North program, the hero's of France are back.

On top of this, the Government had made a complete mess of who would go to France on behalf of the British Peoples.

Although several statements come to mind, the polite version is "Idiots, Idiots, Idiots".

Anyway, the French Government have recognized these Men for the efforts they made on the morning of the 6th of June 1944 (and, of course the many months after).

What makes me even more "upset" (or is the term "proud") is the fact that most of those Soldiers that have survived don't see themselves for the hero's that i think they are. They always refer to those who died for King and Country as the hero's.

Take it from a youngster (born in the Sixties) - to me you are all hero's.

Sad and sore

I'm a little upset, and not a little sore.

In the recent past, as those that I know and love will testify, I have wittered, moaned and winced due to a certain amount of discomfort and lack of feeling in my right hand and elbow.

After an operation to release the tension in the elbow, I thought that all this pian was over.

I should have known ..........

Was going to Archery tonight, but now there is no point - I can barely feel my fingers, and my shoulder really hurts.

Never mind, it'll probably clear over night - probably
