Now I'm seriously not a happy bunny. Have just had to retire from shooting due to the arm starting to twitch. At least Lauras doing ok. Annoyed, annoyed, annoyed!!!!

Ouch!
Moving slowly into mardy territory. After shooting pretty well (for me) this morning, this afternoon is started off as a bit of a disaster. A couple of early misses and sore back and muscles is not making for a happy Archer. In fact, quite the reverse!!
Here we go ..
Cars packed and ready. The Puppy has picked up, and eaten, the boiled eggs that fell out of the fridge. It is time to leave and head over to Trackside for a Vegas Indoor shoot. Which should be good, cause in all these years of attending Archery Competitions, neither myself or Laura have ever shot this round. Should be interesting!!
Nice!
what a nice afternoon to shoot some arrows. OK we are not talking red hot. Of course not. But the wind is slight, the sun is bright, there are few clouds to spoil the view. So its shades on (with prescription lenses) and the old wooden bow and wooden arrows. What more can you say?
Tired and a bit fed up
Really should stop whining, but it does give me something to do. Really should get a Doctors appointment to check out my back, but I haven't . Should get the dog to the vet, seeing as he seemed to have taken a fancy to chewing the top of his leg. But that shouldn't be to difficult. And now, I'm trying to decide whether I should have some breakfast or not, as I seem to be having a bit of an IBS pain episode. And both solutions seem to help and hinder this situation in equal measure. Of stuff it, drop Laura off at college and reactive the coffee making devices!!

Morning everyone, and welcome to another Monday, and yet another week. It's obviously going to be a cold one, but it is winter after all. Have just realised that I haven't turned the "big" computer one in nearly four days. With everyone having access to phones, laptops and tablets of various flavours , there has been no need to power up the original computer. Maybe that just shows how things have changed in the just the last 6 months. Have a safe one everyone.
Well, came back from the archery competition yesterday as sore as hell. But, for all that, also quietly please and happy. Best of all Laura won her category, and we were point to point for the morning in " Dad & Daugther" competition . Even after having give up late in the afternoon ( for everyone else's safety - a twitching arm and a man with a bow and arrow - not good) I still did enough to come second. Really wasn't expecting that!

What is the fascination with the Titanic
Morning all, am just getting ready to walk the dog, pondering the following. With the club Archery sessions this afternoon, do I take my Compound and cram in some last minute practice? Or, which is probably more realistic, should I just take my longbow/flat bow / BareBow . Enjoy the afternoon and coach some of the newbies who will be there? Am guessing I know the answer as I type.

Typical
How dare they spoil my pointless daytime viewing. Damn the BBC for swapping Bargain Hunt for the Tennis. It's only a Scotsman after all ;0)
Had to force myself to watch this epic struggle. Just for evidence should I wish to write in and complain, you understand.
emailA new Bow sight
I really should stop using eBay, but it is far to useful. As my family and Archery colleagues are aware, I am NOT a one bow man. And, in those numerous bows I have two Compound bows, one newly purchased and the other an eBay special. The eBay Hoyt was intended as a Field Bow and originally had a multi - pin sight on it. However hard I tried with this type of sight, it just didn't seem to suit me. Anyway, Wednesday morning saw the eventual arrival (delayed thanks to UK Customs sticking another charge on top), of a sinmgle pin, adjustable sight form the US. Not an expensive item compared to the sights you buy from the big players in the market, but it seemed decent enough. I didnt realise how good though until it was fitted and ready to go.
The indoor session on Wednesday night was really meant to be practice ready for the Vegus Round on Sunday. But, with half an hour of the session to go I thought "what the hell" and got the Field Bow, and its new sight out to play with.
Impressed didn't cover it. With just a couple of minor adjustments, the whole thing was on the money. Not just hitting the centre Golds (X's - yeah) but also taking out the centre images of a pile of playing cards.
Must remember to give positive feedback for this sight on eBay.
emailHummmm
Another hummmm thought. Am typing this message on my BlackBerry, but, on some of the web browser pages it is difficult to see and use that website. So I'm wondering - do I stay with blackberry? (and move over to the torch version) of should I take the iphone option? Is there something androidy that I could move over to? Or is it the curse of any mobile phone, that the screen is small and not that easy to use?
Cold!!
Its the middle of the day, and its wet. Its damp. And its cold! And guess who's just got an out side job. Now, where's my big, thick coat?
Thanks for nothing!
An open to message to the Drunken Fool (or fools) who think its funny to damage private property - to wit, tying knots with our windscreen wipers. If you would be so kind as to leave £100 in way of repairs and compensation it would be much appreciated. IDIOT!!!
Wow!!
This is going to sound so twee, but there you go. I knew kids could grow quickly, but puppy's take the biscuit. When we first got him, he couldn't see over the seat of the chair, let alone the table top. Only last week he had to use the chair, and full body stretch, to just see the table. Now, the nose has appeared above the level of the table without any effort - Oh Dear!!
Morning
Morning all, and welcome to a wet cold Friday. Not really a lot else to say. Have a safe, dry day.

I must be mad! It's almost bad enough to have to get up at all for work on a Saturday, but to wake up, yet again, far to early to be good for you. Then to be met by an over excited puppy really isnt what I need when I'm still trying to work out which part of my body is still not working.
The eyes barely work. The back aches and the state of the house is driving me mental.
I'm going to be a grumpy git all day.

Well what happened there? Came in late-ish from work last night. Logged off, had tea. Got bits ready for Archery, sat on the bed for 5 minutes and, bar one toilet visit, woke up 12 hours later. Ouch!!

Morning all - have just been watching the story that Muhammad Ali, probably the worlds greatest boxer, is 70 years old today. Although a shadow of the character he used to be, he still has that ability to draw people to him and listen . Always been saddened that his illness has always been suffered in public, but I guess that is his, and the families wish. Have a safe day everyone.
Woops
That didn't help.
Come in. Book off from work and then sort of nod off.
Vain attempt to catch up by taking the dog for a walk and then type some letters and upload some photos.
Out into the cold and see youy later.

Thank you Scunthorpe running club. Was coaxing the Puppy towards Central Park until, as he sat to observe (which he seems to do every 10 Yards), a gaggle of your runners came haring past on the park side of the road. One 360 latter, puppy was on his way home. Have to say, it was not big surprise that he was looking for a way to head back to home - humans taking him out for a walk. In the cold. Still learning aren't you puppy?

Some of us want a new house, a new car, a new mobile phone, worry about weight and looks, but someone that's battling cancer wants just one thing, to win the battle. 97% of my friends won't re-post this, but 3% will. Let's see who does. Please re-post this in honour of someone who lost their battle, or for someone fighting it x

I sometime wonder what the puppy see's or hear's that we totally miss? Just finishing up my breakfast and puppy's been cuddled and fusted and he wandered off to his bed. All of a sudden he come running through to the lounge, glaring at the window. He cocks his head to one side, huffs and snuffs. Barks twice and, having made his point turns round and goes back to the kitchen. Me? I saw nothing

Well that's a first
I know this may sound really pathetic, but I have, for the first time , actually managed to take the dog for a walk single handed. Admittedly it took some bribery to start with, but once we were clear of the street it took bribery to get him home again.

Have just glanced in the mirror at what is a rather plain, aged and somewhat weather worn face. At the moment it is sporting three days worth of stubble. For a few short moments there was the thought "I won't shave this week", to quickly be followed by that itch that confirms it will all be in the sink in the morning. Back to a bare faced Mr Plain!
Ouch
My heads still ringing. When getting coats on in a rather tight hallway (space even more restricted by a bouncing puppy) Liam elbows me in the temple. Can't see stars though - can't afford them on my wages!!

Have not long since come back from Archery, with the little Devil whispering " see how fast your new car goes . Go faster" After a short argument , the nice law abiding side kept to 70. Just to see the most, tatty, rusty heap of c@!p, never deviating out of lane 3, from one horizon to the other, come tearing past doing at least 100. Was I tempted to chase? What do you think?
