Tablet Apps

Isn't it strange, the things you do in the dark of an autumninal Sunday morning? Am in the process of checking the various devices to see if their clocks have updated to " stick" at checking my Android Tablet.
But the issue isn't the clock, it is the number of apps that are there, taking up memory space, and never used. I have several email apps, two of which are used regularly , and one, the identity of which I forget, that even leave a signature " sent by iPad" even though it is on an android device.
Time to keep on, the quicker I get on, the quicker I will be napping on the settee.email

Sadly (NOT) the qualifying for the first Indian Grand Prix is about to start on the BBC.

Isn't it a shame that I may have to stop, or at least slow up, on the day to day chores for an hour or so. :p

Coffee on, comfy seat acquired and here go the cars http://amplify.com/u/a1fxym

Thank God for Sky+.

Am sat, in peace and quite watching iGenus - Discovery Channels' homage to Steve Jobs.

Can watch this without certain people mumbling and chittering about "why are we watching this Dad?".

Have to say, I have never been a big fan of Jobs and of Apple as a product range. But most people have something Apple (we have several versions of the iPod), and you can never ignore the effect that Steve Jobs had on the technology world we are all so much part of.

R.I.P Mr J http://amplify.com/u/a1fuf6
Have just taken Cathy to work, in the sharp cold of a late October Morning.

Dawn was just rising over the horizon so, after a quick detour to Tesco's on the way back home, "proper" daylight was beginning to light up the morning.

It was then that I saw the wispy, shifting low lying mists barely a few inches above the grass of central Park. There was no-one in the way. The grey blanket only rose to a height of around 6 feet. Light enough to colour the sky above it, but not so grey as to block the light totally, like a good old Fog bank would. The only thing missing, if that's the right description, is the orange tinge you sometimes gets when the low lying Sun starts to climb across the sky.

What a perfect start to the day

Will it make the workday any better?
I doubt it.email

I thought that we were lucky. A quick few days of cold weather, requirung the heating to be on. Now we have had several more days of "no heating". Tonight has reminded me of two things.

1: Don't be so cocky

&

2: The British Weather, especially Winter, has a nasty habit of not only reminding you that it's about, but that it will always be in charge http://amplify.com/u/a1fqzx

Even though most normal people are still asleep, warm and closeted against the dark and cold, I am sat, wrapped in a blanket, watching the program "The Real M.A.S.H "

I had forgotten, till about half way through , that i had seen this before. But it was still interesting stuff. It was about the real story of a MASH unit in Korea , and how the program and novel came from that. http://amplify.com/u/a1faua

We were just having an interesting discussion on how many people speak various languages.

It was pointed out that we British managed to get by by the use of signals and slowly SHOUTING IN ENGLISH ;0) http://amplify.com/u/a1f8kd

Judgement Day!!

Arrggghhh - its judgement day. We're all doomed.

Oh wait - that bloke that predicted doomsday got it wrong earlier this year (and before). Stand down - back to my breakfast & my big mug of coffee.email

Morning

Morning All, and welcome to a. Dark, cold Friday morning.
I have to say I'm glad this week is finished as it hasn't been one of the better ones I have had. At least I can look forward to a full weekends worth of Archery, which is good.
Have a good, safe day and enjoy your weekend.email

Its a lovely start to the weekend (round here least ways) and it's getting to that "what do I do on Monday" decision. I'm still not feeling 100% (about 70-75 if I'm honest), but am not that ill that I couldn't get by by going back to work.

It's one of those conundrums that everyone encounters, particularly round this time of year.

I'm guessing that I will be going back, hoping things will get better over the following week. Will have to wait and see. http://amplify.com/u/a1etuf

Robert Llewellyn @ Google+

The web will be awash with it, but when someone that influential pops his clogs and he's only a few months older than you are, it's always a bit chilling. I know nothing of his personal life but my heart goes out to his family and friends. If your 18, 56 is truly ancient. If you 55 3/4 it's much much too young.
