I must admit, whilst the whole saga with John Leslie was going on, I did wonder many times if this was going to end up the way it did.
For our US friends, John had been implicated in a attack on another presenter, Ulrika Jonson, after her book had been published. The story went along the lines she had been attacked, sexually, early in her career by another "young male" presenter. Although she never actually said this persons name, a Channel 5 program, "The Wright Stuff" and then quickly followed by a number of tabloid newspapers, all naming Jon Leslie as the culprit.
The poor lad, and his family, has suffered 10 months of slurs, alligations and investigations, to have his name cleared last week in a Court of Law. When they interviewed him out side the Court it was very hard to see if the tears where those of relief or of anger.
And in all those months - the cause of it all has said nothing. I can understand why Leslie's girlfriend is till asking why
